First day with TamNerede: connect with your family, check location updates and understand alerts together.
Your first day with TamNerede

You do not need to enable every feature on the first day of using a location sharing app. Start by connecting with the right people, checking that the phone can send location updates and understanding together what the notifications mean. This approach can reduce later questions such as “Why can’t you see me?” or “Why didn’t the alert arrive?” Whether you are introducing TamNerede to your household or your workplace, begin with a small arrangement that everyone understands and can use.

Your first day with TamNerede: downloading and creating an account

Use the store links on the official TamNerede website to find the app. Download it from the store appropriate to your phone and follow the registration steps provided. Enter your phone number or email details carefully. Keeping these details current matters if you need to regain access to your account later.

Do not assume that everyone in the family has the same technical experience. Explain why the account is being created and who will be connected, particularly to a relative sharing their location for the first time. Going through setup together on their phone may be clearer than trying to describe unfamiliar settings remotely.

Keeping the group small and clear

After creating a family or team group, share its invitation code only with the people you intend to invite. Each person needs to install the app, sign in to their account and join the relevant group. Having someone’s phone number in your contacts does not automatically give you access to their location.

Initially, invite the people with whom you actually need to coordinate each day. Define the purpose of sharing instead of putting household members, colleagues and other contacts into one group. This makes it easier for everyone to understand which information is visible and to whom.

Understanding why permissions matter

For location sharing to work while the screen is locked, the phone needs suitable location and background permissions. Where available, review the “Always” location option and precise location setting. On Android, background activity, battery restrictions and, on some devices, auto-start settings can also affect operation.

Setting names vary between phone models and operating system versions. Rather than copying a screenshot without context, check whether the device is preventing TamNerede from running in the background. Remember notification permission as well: location sharing can be working even when alerts do not appear on the screen.

Running a short first-day check

One person can leave home briefly while another checks the last update time on the map. Send a short in-app message to confirm that communication works in both directions. If you have created an Area, test entry and exit during a real journey rather than repeatedly crossing its boundary and expecting an immediate result.

This is not a speed test. It is an opportunity to understand the phone’s connection, how updates appear and what notifications look like. If something needs attention, you can discover it before a trip or a busy working day.

Confirm setup through ordinary tasks

Before saying that setup is complete, check that a family member can open the right group, find a location update time and send a short message. Trying these without step-by-step prompting helps ensure that the app will be used rather than simply remain installed. Explain any unfamiliar part now instead of waiting until it is needed.

A work team can begin in a similar way. Explain which notification may appear during the first customer visit and which status detail the employee should send separately. Distinguish location sharing from reporting the outcome of the job, so nobody assumes the map already explains everything. Afterwards, ask which step was confusing. That question may reveal something overlooked during setup. Familiarity with a few everyday actions can provide a stronger start than a long list of features.

Adding more as your needs develop

Once the basic arrangement works, you can add an Area for a school, workplace or frequently visited address. Choose further steps according to genuine needs. Instead of trying every feature immediately, establish a routine that family members or employees can understand and maintain. A successful start depends on shared expectations as much as installing the app. Make your first day with TamNerede a simple, shared start.
